On January 30, 2024, World Medical Hospital (WMC) on Chaeng Watthana Road held the Opening Ceremony of the “WMC New Frontier Cancer Center” at the Sky Hall, 22nd Floor. The event was honored by Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, Member of the Senate, who presided over the ceremony, together with Prof. Dr. Chalerm Harnpanich, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited (BCH), Prof. Dr. Adisorn Pattaraduly, Director of World Medical Hospital, along with medical professionals, hospital executives, and distinguished guests.
The opening of the WMC New Frontier Cancer Center marks an important milestone for the hospital in advancing its medical capabilities and expanding treatment options for cancer patients. Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, claiming over 10 million lives annually, and has consistently been the number one cause of death in Thailand for several decades.
The newly established cancer center aims to enhance Thailand’s medical capacity through an integrated approach to cancer care, combining conventional treatments with alternative and innovative therapies such as Hyperthermia treatment and cannabis extract–based therapy. This multidisciplinary approach offers patients greater hope for recovery with reduced pain and improved quality of life. The initiative underscores WMC’s commitment to pioneering modern, patient-centered cancer care, contributing to the continuous evolution of oncology in Thailand and beyond.
