BCH Receives the Highly Commended Supply Chain Management Award at SET Awards 2026, Highlighting the e-Refer Project and Driving Sustainability Through Strategic Partnerships

Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited (BCH) received the Highly Commended Supply Chain Management Award in the Sustainability Excellence category at SET Awards 2026, marking the Company's first recognition for supply chain management excellence. This achievement reflects BCH's commitment to sustainable business practices that extend beyond its own operations, emphasizing shared value creation with suppliers, business partners, and stakeholders throughout the value chain.

One of the key initiatives presented for the award consideration was the “Digital System Development Project to Enhance Healthcare Network Connectivity and Patient Referrals (e-Refer System).” The project was developed through collaboration among BCH, Health Chain Innotech Co., Ltd., Business Alignment Public Company Limited, and Varian Medical Systems Pacific Inc. It aims to enhance information connectivity and cancer patient referrals across the hospital network, supporting continuity of access to specialized medical treatment. The initiative also elevates the role of suppliers from conventional business relationships to innovation development partners (Partner/Co-developer).

BCH places strong emphasis on sustainable supplier management, covering supplier sourcing and selection, qualification and risk assessments, and the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. The Company also collaborates with its partners to establish shared quantitative and qualitative targets and performance indicators, enabling systematic monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of operational efficiency.

The Company is committed to implementing social initiatives that respond to the specific needs of local communities and those affected by adverse circumstances. By fostering collaboration with relevant organizations, BCH supports healthcare, safety, and the restoration of people's quality of life. Its support for the Department of Water Resources in this initiative reflects the Company's commitment to social responsibility and its participation in mitigating the impacts of flooding through cross-sector collaboration, in alignment with BCH's sustainability approach.

The project aligns with BCH's strategy to enhance the quality of healthcare services and its material sustainability topics, particularly “Patient Responsibility and Quality of Service,” which ranks as BCH's highest-priority material topic, as well as Access to Healthcare Services, Supply Chain Management, and Technology and Innovation Development. BCH remains committed to strengthening partnerships and exploring opportunities to further enhance healthcare systems through collaboration, creating long-term economic, social, and environmental value.

BCH extends its sincere appreciation to all business partners and stakeholders who have contributed to the tangible success of the e-Refer Project. This achievement represents not only the advancement of healthcare innovation but also the value of collaboration built upon shared goals, knowledge exchange, and the complementary strengths of each organization.

BCH firmly believes that true sustainability is not measured by the success of any single organization, but by the ability to create shared value and grow together throughout the value chain, with patients' quality of life and well-being remaining at the heart of every effort. Ultimately, the most meaningful achievement is not simply how far an organization advances, but how every step forward can create lasting benefits for people and society.
